Bonnie Teachout
Bonnie works in the villages, jungles and highlands of Chiapas, Mexico with Harvest Evangelistic Association. Her heart is with the women of that area; educating & inspiring the women of southern Mexico to meet their Savior face to face; also encouraging them to learn that Christ came to bind up the broken-hearted and set the captives free.
Bonnie comes into the ministry a bit later in life. She likes to say that she is thankful that she serves a God of second chances! She has a long-term commitment with HEA, working in the accounting department as well as helping their Administrative Director coordinate the worldwide activities in eight countries, besides her work with the indigenous women of the Chiapas area.
Having grown up in Mexico as an MK, she is fluent in Spanish, and she loves the people of this area such as the Tsotsil, Tzeltal and other indigenous people. Chiapas is an area where their beliefs are a mixture of Mayan religion and Catholicism and believers are heavily persecuted. As happens with persecuted people; when they believe, they are passionate! It is Bonnie’s prayer to reach the lost, wherever they are.
