Damian and Emily Obando Martinez
Damian and Emily have been called to reach the people of Northern Costa Rica in Central America. Many people there do not know that they can have a personal relationship with God. They have the opportunity to take the Word of God to them, teach them about who God is, what He has done for us, and how we can have new life in Him. They hope to lead others to Christ through relationship building, helping them find a church family and building them up in their relationship with God.
They have been serving in this area since 2016 and have been evangelizing and discipling people of all ages through kids club, youth group, free English tutoring, and partnering with local churches and schools.
Costa Rica is Damian’s homeland, therefore there are no cultural barriers to overcome. Emily was raised in a missionary family in Canada, ministering among First Nations people.
