Erin Cottos

Erin has come to know the power of God’s love and grace and desires for all to know that same love and compassion. Everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and loved.

Her heart is to partner/collaborate with those that are committed to advocating for and with individuals who have been marginalized by disability. Haiti has been the home base for Erin for a long time but she has also done work in Guatemala and more recently Mexico.

Erin has been able to use her Pediatric Physical Therapy background and passion for creating adaptive equipment with local resources to assist communities in establishing sustainable rehabilitation, outreach, and adaptive equipment programs. She has worked with small health clinics, children’s homes, schools, universities, churches, and community-based programs.  Her role is to collaborate with the local team to establish programs that meet their needs, are sustainable, and provide the preparation and mentorship she can to help them meet their program goals. She believes all programs should be locally led and staffed to be effective and sustainable.  Her desire is to support individuals with unique abilities by helping them problem solve how to best access their environment, share their giftings, and reach their functional potential in a world that does not make those things easy.

Erin fully admits she has stopped trying to guess where God is going to plant her or what He is going to call her to next. However, she trusts in His plan and is always thankful for the community that loves, surrounds, and supports her on this journey.

Erin loves to collaborate, learn and share with others that have a similar passion so feel free to reach out! Much is learned and gained when working and living in a community.
