Keith Britton is serving in the poverty stricken camps near San Jose, Costa Rica and has been there since 2002.
Keith is working with children at risk and very poor families in two barrios near San Jose. He also ministers at a men's re-hab, 1 hour from San Jose. He helps families by repairing their homes as needed, helping with food at times, medicine for flu or other normal aches a pains, clothes and shoes when available and transportation to a medical center when needed. He is able to fellowship with the families as he repairs the shacks, (more like your great grandfathers tool shed) that they live in with no flooring, usually one room maybe two beds, no sanitary facilities, accept what runs down hill, small sink with water that works off and on and one light. These shacks have tin siding and roofs, ( a lot of holes) . He has repaired or replaced the roofs, builds make shift bathrooms, installs wood or cement flooring and has facilitated the building of over 180 stairs up two hilly walkways for the community and a bridge which provides safe passage during the rainy season and always witnessing and praising God to all that will listen. Praise God.

He is also working with members of a small community that provides lunch six days a week for over 80 children a day that live in poverty. This is the main meal for most of these children. During the lunch period, we sing praise songs, have lessons about Jesus, play games and once a month, watch a movie. Before he teamed up with them, the children were sitting on the floor. God provided funds for him to build seven sturdy 10 ft. long benches. Keith's ministry also helps supply rice and other necessities as funds are available.

Keith has partnered with a men's re-hab center, which is ran by Oscar, an ex-drug addict who came to the Lord 2 years ago. Oscar started this re-hab center 1 year ago. They have very limited funding, but God provides at least one good meal a day for the 8 to 12 men that have decided to change their lives through Jesus Christ. Keith prays and encourages them. Through his testimony and past experiences with drugs and alcohol, Keith is able to connect with them as he shares the Gospel with them. He's helping them build an add-on common room, 15x15 ft, as their kitchen, meeting area and Chapel are in a shack. He also helps with food and clothing needs when he can.

"Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven ... and whoever receives one such child in My name receives me."
Matthew 18:3-5
