Cyndi Cope

Cyndi felt the call of the Lord on her life to serve Him in missions when she was just 13 years old. In the summer of 2004, she took the first steps of obedience towards that call when she led a team from her church on a one-week trip to work at Shadow of His Wings Orphanage in Guatemala City, one ministry of the James Project of Latin America. The first contact with the James Project came when another CTEN missionary, Carroll Bishop, visited Cyndi’s church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Cyndi returned, leading another team the next summer, and while the team was in Guatemala working, Cyndi’s house in the States sold. In August of 2005, Cyndi made the move to Guatemala. She started out as a housemother for 24 girls, then worked as a teacher in the James Project of Latin America’s school for a while, and eventually ended up as the Team Director and Administrative Assistant for the James Project. Her responsibilities include planning for, making arrangements for and hosting teams who come to minister with the Project.

Cyndi often shares with people that she feels that she is finally in the middle of a life and a work that God created her to do. The Lord continues to abundantly bless her personally as well as the James Project.
