Dan and Christi Ucherek
After asking the Lord to break their hearts for what breaks His, Dan and Christi Ucherek became burdened for the orphaned, abandoned, afflicted, and the destitute! After serving in several short term capacities, God called their family to adopt and in June of 2011 they brought home their son Malakai Aweke from Ethiopia. They continued to ask the Lord how He would use them and in 2011 God called them to be full-time missionaries at Eagle’s Nest Orphanage in Sololá, Guatemala.
Dan and Christi along with their son, Malakai, and baby daughter, Finley, they will be serving in several areas at Eagle’s Nest, including: orphan care to the 32 children living at Eagle’s Nest, the Manna Feeding Program, outreach & evangelism, sports ministry, music ministry, Christian school, and New Birth Church. The Ucherek’s have a heart to reach the lost with the hope of Jesus Christ, our Savior!
Christi graduated with a degree in Business Leadership and Management from Lincoln Christian University. The Ucherek’s have been serving in orphan care and reaching out to the foster care community locally for the last few years.
