Walter and Linda Burklin
Walter and Linda will be serving at Amano Christian School in Chingola, Zambia, which aims to provide quality education to the children of Zambian church workers and also to disadvantaged kids who might otherwise not have access to a school of this caliber. Walter will be the site manager and Linda will help with academics and library tasks. Chingola is a copper mining town of about 250,000, with many opportunities for ministry both on and off campus. Having volunteer staff is one of the things that makes it possible to keep tuition low.
Walter and Linda are both MKs, Walter from Germany and Linda from Zambia, married in 1981. They served briefly in Zambia in the early 1990s. They always hoped that after raising their seven children, God would lead them back to serve in Zambia, and now that has happened. They have maintained relationships there and look forward to being welcomed by longtime friends as well as forging new friendships and relationships with students in the course of their ministry.
