Brittany
Every child deserves to know they are safe, valued, and deeply loved by God. Brittany serves in Mindanao, Philippines, where she leads a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to preventing online sexual exploitation, caring for survivors, and equipping those who serve them.
At the heart of the ministry is a safe house for girls rescued from online sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Together with a team of Filipino staff, Brittany provides a safe and nurturing home where survivors receive physical care, emotional support, spiritual discipleship, and opportunities to heal. Many children arrive with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing, so the ministry provides clothing, school supplies, hygiene items, and other basic necessities while helping each child rediscover hope and dignity.
The ministry is also committed to prevention. Through seminars and awareness programs for youth, churches, schools, and communities throughout Northern Mindanao, Brittany and her team educate families about online safety, trafficking risks, and practical ways to protect vulnerable children before exploitation occurs.
As a certified scuba instructor, Brittany has developed a unique ministry using scuba diving as part of the healing process. In the underwater environment, survivors are able to build confidence, overcome fear, experience peace, and celebrate new achievements. Diving becomes more than a sport—it becomes a tool for restoring trust, resilience, and hope.
Recognizing that those who care for survivors also need care, Brittany hosts restorative scuba retreats for safe house workers, social workers, and caregivers from across the Philippines. These retreats provide a time of rest, encouragement, fellowship, and spiritual renewal for men and women who faithfully carry the emotional weight of caring for children who have experienced profound trauma.
Everything the ministry does is rooted in the love of Jesus Christ. Whether providing a safe home, preventing exploitation through education, helping survivors heal, or strengthening the caregivers who serve them, Brittany's desire is to see lives transformed by the hope, healing, and unconditional love of Christ.
