Jacob and Rachel

Jake and Rachel Miller, along with their children Corrie, Reuben, and Vera, are relocating to Siguatepeque, Honduras, in August 2026 to serve in dental and medical missions. Their first year in Honduras will focus primarily on Spanish language studies. The Millers endeavor to serve with professional excellence and compassion as witnesses of Christ’s love to medically underserved communities.

Jake graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2020 and completed a general practice residency program in York, Pennsylvania in 2021. After five years of experience in private practice, he hopes to use what he has learned to increase access to compassionate dental care for underserved communities in Honduras. After language training, Jake will be working at Clinica Betania in Siguatepeque with the goal of expanding their dental program and services. He will also be available as a consultant to network with other Christian nonprofit clinics and short-term teams in Honduras. Jake is passionate about investing in Honduran dentists through mentorship and discipleship.

Rachel is a Family Nurse Practitioner who completed her NP training through Duke University in 2018. She has experience in critical care, trauma, occupational health, and urgent care. Rachel holds a master’s degree in global public health from Cedarville University. She spent several years volunteering with and then leading YoungLives York City- a ministry for pregnant and parenting teen mothers. Rachel is passionate about creating spaces for family discipleship, mentoring young mothers, and spending time with her kids. Rachel will initially be taking on a supportive role in helping her family adjust to moving internationally. After which, she plans to use her public health knowledge and patient care experience to serve in medical outreaches.
