Joseph and Elsa Truniger
Joseph and Elsa will be serving with an established team in Galicia, Spain. Their ministry focus will be running a new outreach center, Puntos de Luz (Points of Light), for pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago. Their role includes the day-to-day operations of the center, training and leading mission teams on the Camino, and developing ways to show hospitality and point pilgrims to Jesus.
The Camino is an ancient pilgrimage with many routes that all end in Santiago de Compostela. Every year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from nearly every country on earth come searching for more to life, believing they can discover it while walking the Camino.
Additionally, Joseph and Elsa will be learning Spanish, immersing themselves in the community of Caldas de Reis, and faithfully serving the local church plant. There is a great need for the Gospel in this region of Spain, as there is little evangelical presence.
Joseph and Elsa were married in Minnesota in September of 2025. They are eager for the opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel with local Spaniards and pilgrims from across the world.
