Jason and Kelly Hart
Jason and Kelly Hart moved from Kentucky to Guatemala in June 2019 with their two daughters, Mia and Josie. Kelly is a physician assistant who worked in pediatrics prior to their move, while Jason had worked as a children’s pastor before their girls were born.
After six months of Spanish school, their nonprofit Servant Harts was developed with an initial desire to provide high-quality medical care to malnourished infants while sharing the Gospel with these moms, along with education on caring for their children. Through the pandemic, God expanded the vision to caring for pregnant moms to prevent malnourishment from happening. They also desire to make sure each family has a safe, dry home and a clean-air stove and water filter. Their ministry team has expanded to include other missionaries, local doctors, and Guatemalan employees to provide holistic care to the families they serve. Discipleship through relationships is at the heart of the ministry as they seek to share the love of Jesus with every person they meet in San Lorenzo, El Tejar, and surrounding communities.
