Shawn and Natalie Sagert (Tamar’s Hope)

Shawn, a Canadian missionary kid from the Peruvian jungle, met his British wife, Natalie, on the USA/Mexican border, and their life together has continued to have an international focus.

Shawn and Natalie have been serving in Guatemala since 2007. After several years focusing on community development work in the rural highlands, they moved to the capital and began reaching out to the many prostitutes who work on the streets of Guatemala City.

In 2017, the Sagerts founded Tamar’s Hope, a ministry that is helping sexually exploited women regain dignity and wholeness through education, psychological support, vocational training, and spiritual discipleship.
