Armando and Christina Butler-Pena
Christina and Armando are serving in Morelia Michoacán.
Christina grew up in a small town in New Hampshire. She came to know Christ as her personal Savior when she was about 9 years old, after her father shared the gospel with her one night. When she was 18 she went to study the Bible for 2 years at Word of Life Bible Institute in New York. After graduating from the Bible Institute Christina had the privilege of serving God in Mexico teaching English as a second language at Word of Life Mexico. While in Mexico she fell in love with the people and culture. Later, she would get to know and marry Armando.
Armando grew up in Mexico City. His grew up in a Catholic family, but he came to know Christ as his personal Savior when he was 8 years old at a kids activity that was organized by a local church. Armando then went to the Word of Life Bible Institute in Queretaro, Mexico when he was 19 years old. He attended Word of Life Bible Institute for 3 years.
Now both Christina and Armando are serving in Lampei Church with their children Camila (2 years old) and Christian (3 months old). Serving in Lampei Church includes Lampei Project which has the vision of planting other churches in Morelia, Mexico, and the rest of the world.
