Jeyson and Stephanie Braun

Jeyson and Stephanie Braun serve through missionary aviation with JAARS.

It’s hard to imagine, but around the world there are still 2,000 people groups that do not have any Scripture translation project even started in their native language! JAARS provides the logistical support including planes and pilots that are needed to take missionaries and Bible translators to these remote people groups. In the words of Cameron Townsend, the founder of JAARS, “Airplanes…don’t just make [Bible] translation easier; they make it possible.”

A foundational part of JAARS’s operations involves the ministry of missionary aircraft mechanics at the JAARS headquarter base in North Carolina, which is where Jeyson and Stephanie are currently serving. Jeyson is part of a team of mechanics that have the vital roles of maintaining the JAARS fleet, as well as specially overhauling and equipping planes that are sent to fly in remote villages around the world.

Jeyson and Stephanie and their children, Elijah, Audrey, and Isabella find it a tremendous joy to provide the logistical support needed to reach otherwise unreachable people with the Word of God in their heart language.
