Matthew Robinson
Matt Robinson is a husband, father, missionary, and founder of Sons of the Shepherd. Years ago, Matt’s first wife, Tiffanie, passed away after a ten-month cancer journey. They were married for fourteen years, serving alongside one another in ministry. Matt married Leslie, a fellow Commission to Every Nation missionary. Matt and Les are familiar with grief because they have both experienced the loss of their first spouse. Together, Matt, Leslie, their five children, two dogs, and one cat are excited to serve the Lord together as one family blended by grief and faith. Out of Matt’s personal journey through sorrow, Sons of the Shepherd was born with a burden to reach men who are hurting, walking alongside them through seasons of grief, confusion, and rebuilding. This ministry exists to offer hope, biblical truth, and brotherhood to men who are learning how to carry their grief while still leading their families, their faith, and their lives. Matt’s heart is to share the Gospel with those suffering in the midnight hour of their soul, so that they might find hope and healing. Sons of the Shepherd provides relational evangelism to widowers of all ages through one-on-one relationships, safe and understanding spaces to grieve, Bible studies, online resources, workshops, future retreats, care packages, mentorship, GriefShare classes for those experiencing loss, and community outreach events for hurting men. Matt and Les’ remarriage also points to the value of upholding the covenant of death do us part while also pointing to a faithful God who still has unwritten chapters for our lives. Matt would be honored to partner with others in this unique ministry as he leads people closer to the Good Shepherd.
