Edgar and Laura Cojon

Laura came to Guatemala in the spring of 2004 as a student teacher at the Christian Academy of Guatemala. During this time she saw the impact that the teachers at CAG had on the students and the great need for more teachers on the mission field. After graduating from college, she felt the Lord’s calling to return to CAG. She began teaching high school math and science in the fall of 2004.

Edgar and Laura met at their church in the fall of 2005 and were married December 15, 2007. Around this time, Edgar felt called to use his talents towards a full time ministry of reaching the world through music. He entered SETECA (Seminario Teológico Centroamericano) and studied theology with an emphasis in music graduating in 2011.

After helping with a church plant in Ciudad Quetzal and managing a guesthouse, Laura and Edgar became directors of the Manna Worldwide Children’s home. The home opened in 2014 and currently can house up to 30 orphaned, abandoned or abused children. They live in the home and act as house parents to the children ranging in age from newborns to 18 years old.

Edgar and Laura have three birth children as well, Nathan, Benjamin, and Caleb all born in Guatemala.
