Karren and Rockie Chupa
Rockie and Karren have been on the foreign mission field now full-time since January 2010.
Serving the Lord in Guatemala has not always been easy, but they know they are where they are supposed to be, and that is enough.
They had the blessing to work with two well established ministries during their first 5 years in Guatemala and then a year later they struck out on their own and formed Compelling Love Ministries. Long before they ever left Canada for Guatemala, the Lord gave them the passage out of 2 Corinthians 5 and that has been a guiding scripture in how they do life.
Rockie and Karren share life with the Kekchi people of Northern Alta Verapaz. And, although preaching, evangelism, outreach, etc, form a part of their ministry, they believe ministry is also in the little events of everyday life. In living and working among the people, sharing in their pain and in their celebration. And through this walking along side people, the Gospel is lived out and lives are changed.
