Daniel and Emily Perez (Klein)

Daniel and Emily currently serve in one of the multiple language groups of the Mixteco people of southern Mexico. It is a  large area with eighteen villages that speak the same language. Unfortunately, only two of those villages have a few Christians, and they live a constant spiritual battle to maintain their faith.

Before they met, they both knew well that God wanted them to serve among the indigenous of Mexico.  Emily grew up as a missionary kid in Oaxaca, and Daniel studied missions in Oaxaca. First, however, they served for a year in an orphanage in Baja, California, where Daniel is from, where they learned a great deal about taking care of troubled children before moving south.

They are currently learning the Mixteco language and culture and helping the few local believers grow stronger in their faith to reach out to their people. In addition, they both have studied First Aid and enjoy gardening.

Daniel is a singer-songwriter, and Emily is a writer an avid artist. They hope God will use all this while they begin implementing workshops in agriculture, health, and the arts to help the community and form relationships that will lead to establishing a local church.
