Uriel and Jody Gonzales Kornelius

Uriel and Jody Gonzales and their boys live in Rosarito, Mexico. They have been serving together in full-time ministry since March 2012.

In 2018 they opened a 3rd Phase Recovery home, El Faro Ministry House, a clean and sober living home for up to 15 men. All of the men attend church and are encouraged to attend a weekly Bible study.

Jody is a Bible study leader at their local church; her group consists of 30+ women ranging in age and spiritual maturity.

The Gonzales family also serves in a variety of areas at Connections House, a housing base for short-term mission teams.  They translate for teams, cook and serve meals, and mentor the summer interns.

In 2021 they received word that a friend needed help raising his grandson.  Antonio joined their family and has been a blessing ever since.

The boys, Jonathan and Antonio, are learning to live as brothers and best friends.  They are both bilingual and have been asked to translate when they are out with teams.

As missionaries with Commission To Every Nation (CTEN), Uriel and Jody Gonzales are able to pour out the love that God has shown to them onto those around them – no matter what their background is. Matthew 20:28, just as the Son of Man, did not come to be served, but to serve … “We serve – that’s what we do.”
