Ernesto and Alisha Romero
Their goal is to train and disciple Deaf individuals with a calling to missions and pastoral ministry so they can reach their own community as faithful followers of Christ, grounded in their identity in Him.
They hope to accomplish this by establishing a language training center for Deaf people and their families, beginning within the local church. In addition, they plan to implement various strategies to develop employment opportunities with flexible schedules, allowing participants to dedicate time to ministry and spiritual growth.
They also desire to establish an arts center that will promote both the Gospel and Deaf culture through presentations and creative activities. Furthermore, they seek to provide the emotional support necessary for individuals to fully develop their identity in Christ.
Ernesto completed his theological studies at Instituto Bíblico Agua Viva, faithfully responding to God's call on his life. Alisha served among the Deaf community in Ensenada for 16 years. They met when Alisha visited a Bible school in 2019 to recruit volunteers for Deaf ministry, and shortly afterward they were married.
Together they have two children: Grace, age 5, and Aaron, age 4.
As a family, they are responding to God's call on their hearts to s erve Mexico's Deaf community and share the love of Christ with those who have not yet come to know Him.
